Nikon Rangefinder Month 2018

Postby PFMcFarland » Mon Jun 11, 2018 4:27 pm

March was Nikon Rangefinder Month over on RFF, and so I participated with my S2, and a Bessa R2S.

Some samples of a color roll from the R2s with SC Skopar 25/4.

Nice use of a wide, PF. Particularly liked the Masonic temple.

Thanks, all. I tried taking some of the blue out, but they still look over saturated to me. I'm just about fed up with the screen on this laptop. It doesn't help that the camera is under exposing a bit. For the most part, the 25mm seemed like just the perfect lens on these subjects, except for the Baptist church construction where a 50 or 85 would have been proper. I was usually working in places where I didn't have a lot of maneuvering room. I'll follow up with the B&W from the S2 after they come back from the lab.

More photos, this time in b&w, taken with the Nikon S2 and W-Nikkor 35mm 1:3.5 on Fuji Neopan Acros 100.

Nice shots all, Phil. I take it that your CV 25/4 the rangefinder-coupled version. I have the Voigtlander Snapshot-Skopar 25/4 (which I believe has the same optics) with viewfinder, which is a very sharp and pleasant lens to use on an LTM 35mm camera or adapted to a Micro4/3 digital (where is becomes a 50mm).

Can't say how much I like those blacks Phil, bravo!

Btw Phil, are you watching Wes Anderson movies lately? I saw two-three photos already that could be taken out of one of his movies :)
