Fujifilm made an announcement about bringing back Acros 100, only in a new formulation with even finer grain.

It will only be available in Japan for the first year, and then marketed to the rest of the world. So be prepared for marked up batches of Neopan Acros 100 II on eBay and other sites.
I don't like to be a conspiracy enthusiast, but the timing of this does seem a bit odd. Just about the time they are running out on the stocks of old Acros, now Acros II comes to the rescue. Do you think that maybe they just wanted to clear out the inventory of the old stuff before bringing out the "new and improved" version?
