Re: Rollei A110

I've recorded a short video showing how to open the camera. It doesn't matter if there is a battery in the camera.

If you cannot open the film door, then there might be a problem with the camera.

Re: Rollei A110

Take a look in the "Small Format" forum under the "Film" category. I moved your original post there. I also answered your question.

If you need a photo, let me know, and I'll show you how it opens.

Re: 3.5 cm F2.8 Zeiss Opton

Wow - nice photos. The price for these has been high for years -- including through the "go digital" era of the early 2000s.

You know, the lens handled that direct sunlight pretty good. That's usually death for most older lenses.

Re: Starting with the F

After I sold my Pentax MX, I knew it was time to get a "serious" camera, and for me that meant a Nikon. It was 1979, and smaller cameras were all the rage. Not being able to decide which to get, I bought a Nikon FE and a month later added an F2A. Both have been reliable, sturdy cameras that have req...

Re: Rollei A110

The film door opens mechanically. Slide the camera open and turn it upside down. You'll see a drawing of a 110 film cartridge. Press on the orange part of the drawing near the sliding portion and pull outward. The door will flip open. The battery is a PX27 5.6-volt. The replace is 6 volts, which sho...

Re: 'Camera Around the World' project

I didn't have a theme in mind. I just want people to have fun with the camera. Landscapes, portraits, still life, everyday life, parades, pets, people. Slice of life kind of thing. I would say to shoot whatever makes you happy. Depending on how this goes, maybe we'll do a "Six Twenty Day" thing, but...

Re: 'Camera Around the World' project

We'll make sure that it gets to Canada. That shouldn't be a problem at all.

The camera to be used

Zeiss Ikon Contessa LK http://elekm.net/project/contessa_lk_01.jpg I plan to use this camera, and I'll have instructions on how to use the camera and a video within a few weeks. A couple of reasons. First, I can't find the camera that I planned to use (Continette) - it's in a box somewhere. And sec...
