There are metering apps for phones that aren't bad. Not as accurate as a handheld meter, but still pretty decent for general use.
I think I'll just reserve the Ektar for my metered cameras.

Re: SLR MF camera to begin

You could get a 645 folder like the Zenobia, Alex, a Japanese copy of the Zeiss Ikonta A (Ikomat 1) with a nicer finder. Easy to do portraiture with, and small enough to fit a jacket pocket. https://live.staticflickr.com/7682/17232743516_0d5881b3bc_c.jpg Side-By-Side Zenobia-Ikomat 1 by P F McFarlan...

Re: Thinking ahead

I really like the APS-C format as I don't see myself printing photos larger than 13x19 (current printer does 11x14, but not with much detail). So the X100V and X-T4 would be a perfect pairing. It's the switching lens mounts that has me hung up. I'll probably wind up with a Z50 with the FTZ adapter i...

What a project! Did it work? I am concerned about the durability of 3d-printed plastic parts that have to bear some stress.
I've got a printed grip for my CL that feels good and sturdy. But it does make one wonder when viewing the layers that run through all the stress points.

You worked a lot longer on your kids, Scott, and they turned out fine (Congrats to Maddie!), so I think the Seneca will come around in due time.

Re: Thinking ahead

I guess what I'm looking for is something to completely replace all my film gear. One camera to carry around all the time, and another to do more studious stuff with. Fujifilm is the only system out right now that has such a set-up, but there are still some glaring compromises. Plus their lenses are...

Re: Password

I try to create a pattern with my password so that hopefully I won't forget it (each place I log in gets a unique one), but that failed me tonight, and I had to drag out the file book to find it. You're right, George, this old business can be a bit daunting at times.

Re: Corel Draw Suite - monthly subscription

So, Lightroom is Photoshop Lite? Even that way is still two more steps than having one program do it all. I'll do some more research before I jump at something, but Affinity is the front runner for now.

Re: Corel Draw Suite - monthly subscription

You know, I've never understood opening up an image in Photoshop, importing it into Lightroom to make changes, then exporting it back to Photoshop to put on the finishing touches. They make it sound so freaking easy, but it's three steps to do what I do in Elements only. I don't get it.

Re: Thinking ahead

Film camera world is too complicated for me already to enter the digital world :) Yeah, it drives me nuts sometimes trying to figure out which direction to go. I'll be looking for a lens for one brand of camera, but then will come across something for a different brand that I should jump on...
