Re: When I started into this...

Alex, I congratulate you on your superb eye for composition and tonality. All of these are wonderful images proving that you had the gift from an early age. Bravo!

I no longer print exhibition prints for gallery or competition use. Even so, most of my exhibition prints were made using a Pentax K-10D ...

Re: Thinking ahead

I really like the APS-C format as I don't see myself printing photos larger than 13x19 (current printer does 11x14, but not with much detail). PF It's not the format that dictates the print size, but the resolution of the sensor. The Fujifilm 16mp sensor in the XE2s will give you 4896 x 3264 px whi...

Re: Our Garden 2020

A garden brings peace to the soul...... I don’t know who first said that but it’s true. The other important benefit is that it provides a little patch of earth to soak up the rain and to give birds and insects somewhere safe to call home, in an otherwise desert of concrete and tarmac. In our terrace...

My wife decided to put a garden in this year. But so far it feels more like a construction zone . . .
Keep at it! It will be worth it in the end.

Re: Thinking ahead

It's too bad the X100 series is stuck with one fixed mount lens and two converters, and the X-E3 doesn't have an optical viewfinder. PF Phil, I hunted down a good, pre-loved, X30, which I call my mini-Leica, and a XE2s, which I call my digital Leica. Both are built to a very high standard and both ...

Re: Postcard circle event.

Hang in there, Julio. I hope your country doesn't get the ants-in-the-pants syndrome and try to open up too early like they are doing here in the States. I'm guessing Graham wasn't able to get any cards out or in since early April. PF Apologies to all. Our local post office, housed inside a booksho...
