Re: Anyone using old lenses?

I have a copy of the 44M-4 around somewhere. As I recall, it wasn't remarkable, but I think I shot it stopped down somewhat when I tested it. Looking at the few snapshots I took at the time, there is no interesting OOF behavior at all. If I can find it, I may take a few wide open shots and see what ...

Well then, please tell her that a neighbor sent congratulations!
Done! Thank you very much! She's got a lot of work ahead of her, but is excited to get started.

Is Juli, our newly elected Town Clerk, related?
Indeed she is, my wife.

Re: Bunch o' Firsts...

Interesting. In my experience, I feel more pressure to move on than the sitters do; I'm always very conscious about all the fussing around that LF requires, while they mostly sit there patiently. I'm just aware that I may want them to do it again, so shouldn't make it (more) tedious! My nephew is fa...

Re: Take a moment and introduce yourself

My older son attended Arlington schools through 8th grade, at which point he went to the Commonwealth School in Boston, where my wife teaches. He graduated from Commonwealth in 2015, and from Wash U in St Louis in 2019. My younger son did graduate from AHS in 2018. He's now at RPI studying math and...

Re: Bunch o' Firsts...

Thanks, Scott! Look forward to your portrait work. The 210 ought to be nice, although I expect you don't have much in the way of space for movements... Been thinking similar thoughts about portraits; my nephew is into photography (digital only so far) so he might be game for it. Certainly have to do...

Re: Take a moment and introduce yourself

I spent many hours at Robbin Farm when my sons were young. Great place. Oh, me, too, practically lived there between the playground, soccer games and ultimate. Our kids may have overlapped in school somewhere along the way. One of my son (AHS '05), daughter (AHS '12), or nephew (AHS '20), anyway. R...

Funny. I live in Arlington, too. Very close to the Ottoson School.
Funny indeed: same neighborhood even. I'm up near Robbins Farm.

Re: Take a moment and introduce yourself

Alex, could be wrong, but I don't think it's Bob Dylan. :-)

Welcome, Dismayed, from another (?) suburb of Boston, Arlington in my case.

Re: Bunch o' Firsts...

Oh, and congrats to Maddie! My nephew Kevin, who is living with us this year for various reasons, is in the same boat. He's not quite "finished", but I think has one more project to turn in for "audit credit" this week and is then done. Similar sign in our front yard...
