Re: Cinestill DF96 developer

I have some of this, but I haven't tried it. I saw it being used a couple of years ago at PhotoPlus Expo along with a new type of film developing tank.

The results that I saw looked good, although I didn't inspect the negatives closely.

Re: Rolleiflex sl26

This camera uses a lot of nylon gears. The teeth of these gears are easily damaged or stripped. This often occurs from someone forcing the film advance. This is one of those cameras that isn't easy to service. So much packed into a small body with several failure points. I found it best to buy anoth...

Farewell to Les Gediman

I just received this today from Les' son. Les was one of my favorite photography friends. He lived a great life and had a wonderful wit. I am writing to let you know that my father, Les Gediman, passed away very peacefully on July 31, 2021 after having been in hospice care for about six months due t...

Re: Seal it up...

Since about 2003, I've been using a product called "Foamies" that I bought at a craft store. I can buy it in 8x11 sheets, and I can re-foam 50 or 60 cameras per sheet.

Jon always seemed like a very stand-up guy, and I think that he provides a good product at a decent price.

The Maco infrared is a good film, and your shot shows those effects.

Nice work on the camera! The mechanism is more complicated than I expected it to be. I'm happy to hear that you received helpful advice from others.

That was a very interesting thread. So, the lens was M39 adapted to T2. There are still so many undiscovered surprises in the camera world.

That looks like a typical Synchro-Compur.

I am a big fan of the Konica I, II and III rangefinders. Each is very different.

Re: Zenzanon-PS stiff aperture ring - fixable?

I've been thinking about your question since yesterday. Most modern day aperture rings had a detente ball (for the click stops) with lubrication to allow you to turn the ring. If the ring is stiff, I would thing there might be three possibilities: 1. The ring has some hardened grease that is prevent...
