Merry Christmas everyone! I saw this while walking my dog this morning.

All seems right with the world except for the seal in the Nativity scene.

Re: Americanetz v Rossii.

I would expect the Fujinon lens to be a really good performer. The Meopar vs. Industar is an interesting comparison. Each is good in its own way.

Happy Birthday, Larry.

Before we both check out, I have to make my way down your way for a visit.

Re: Why?

Alex - you are roughly where I was about 15 years ago. It was a great place to be, and I urge you to enjoy every moment of it. Photography has given me so much in my life. Mostly, it's been a fun diversion from work and politics. I'm starting to get back into film. Digital is fun, but I find that fi...

Processing Kodadolor film

So I came across a roll of Kodacolor film that uses the C-22 process. Can I process this using standard chemicals for black and white film? I know that I can do a Google search, and I guess that I will at some point, but I thought that I would ask what others have found to be successful for them. ko...

Re: Interesting 'developments' at 2019 PhotoPlus Expo

Yes, that's the "Toaster" that was used for the Barry Goldwater photos. It's the "Film Toaster Dakota," and it's a bit pricey at $1,499 (35mm) or $1,999 (medium format). There's also a 4x5 adapter, and that's what was used for the Goldwater project. The belief is that digital sensors now have the ne...

Interesting 'developments' at 2019 PhotoPlus Expo

I spent a couple of days at the 2019 PhotoPlus Expo, and what I found interesting was a small increase in the renewed interest in film. Of all of the exhibitors, there were maybe five or six that were showing off film photography products. All of the booths were seeing a significant amount of traffi...
