Re: Why is aperture backwards??
I have seen some very old some lenses (large format) when aperture was expressed in mm of aperture diameter, being the largest number the widest aperture and the smaller number then closest aperture. I understand they took f/ as standard no matter what focal length the amount of light allowed is the...

Re: Voigtlander Superb Model I - Skopar
That's always a possibility. Alex. Still, you may need to remove the lenses for cleaning. PF I have checked infinity and close focus with ground glass already mounted, it’s a good match. I gave up trying to unscrew the front lens from the shutter, I have tried everything so far. I will test the len...

Re: Voigtlander Superb Model I - Skopar
The WLF opening was not good, many parts badly bended and all the spring but one not well positioned or made. After dismounting all parts I straightened the bars, cleaned and sanded removing marks. New springs made the WLF opening as good as it can be. https://live.staticflickr.com/31337/50865771523...

Re: Ansco Super Memar
Here you have my video, my guess is that your coming mechanism doesn't do the full way, look my star wheel almost gets vertical (opposite side) and you hear click. https://live.staticflickr.com/31337/50966383172_507a530db7_w.jpg Synchro-Compur cocking. Here the video in full resolution without compr...

Re: Ansco Super Memar
Checked, your shutter is not being cocked, below the star wheel, that part should be held, that is where the main drive spring lies.
Why it’s not fully cocked could be by the cocking mechanism of the camera or a problem in the shutter.

Re: Ansco Super Memar
I have one opened now, if you want to know if the shutter is cocked (star wheel and cocking ring come after cocking) change the speeds of the shutter, if you see the pinion of the slow gear moving up and down and the usual noise of the slow gear wheels moving, meaning that shutter is cocked. If that...

Re: Ansco Super Memar
Ok, now I saw the video in flickr, it’s not being cocked I think, the cocking ring should be help by a lever from the left side.
I have a 3.5C I have to fix slow speed, let’s see if I can open it today and take some photos.

Re: Ansco Super Memar
Well... I have seen some of these lately different versions but I can’t see the upper wheel rotate as it should do, neither the cocking ring. If you could remove the cocking ring and that upper star-wheeled to see how is the below piece by its position I could say if the shutter is cocked already, o...
