Nikon’s latest trio of lenses celebrates wide-angle photography end with two zooms – one of them a fisheye – and a high-speed lens.

The 8-15mm and 28mm lenses are intended for Nikon’s FX full-frame sensor bodies, while the 10-20mm zoom is for bodies fitted with the smaller DX APS-C sensors. Note that these are branded as Nikkor lenses, which signifies a higher-quality product.

Nikon has added two pro-level lenses that will cater to two different types of photography.

The AF-S 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR and PC 19mm f/4E ED are intended for Nikon’s full-frame FX cameras, although they also can be used with the company’s APS-C bodies. Both are Nikkor lenses, which signify that they are made to stand up to the physical demands of professional photographers.

Both lenses are priced accordingly and are expected to be available in November 2016.

One of the longtime favorite lenses in Nikon’s lineup of Nikkor lenses has been the medium telephoto 105mm.

Beloved by many for its sharpness and character, it has been used as both a telephoto and a portrait lens. A Micro-Nikkor also was available for those who do macro work. It also upped the speed of the lens to f/2.0 from its original f/2.5.

Nikon has announced the latest version of the 105mm Nikkor, this time with a speed of f/1.4.

Nikon offers DL Premium Compacts with Nikkor lenses

Nikon says that today's buyers want more from their smaller, digital cameras, and it hopes to meet that need with three new offerings, which it is calling the “DL Premium Compacts.”

There are numerous key similarities among the three cameras, and Nikon is hoping that one or more of the body styles and lens choices will fill your needs.

The DL18-50 and DL24-85 share a similar body style, while the DL24-500 is a bridge camera.
