Lens Rumors says that Sigma plans to produce lenses for Sony’s full-frame E-mount cameras. The site cited another media source. Sigma doesn’t currently offer any lenses for the Sony E-mount, although it does have a converter that allows Canon or Nikon lenses to be used on those bodies.

Sony Alpha Rumors says Sony might announced a new lens in October – an f/2.8 100mm STF (Smooth Trans Focus) lens. An STF lens uses a special element to change the look of unfocused parts of a scene without affecting what is in focus. That is, it’s a “bokeh” element.

The new camera, the site says, will have a 25-MP sensor, dual SD memory card slots, and shoot “some kind of 4K” video. The site also expects the new camera to be smaller in size and weight.

Tokina will make three more lenses for the full-frame Sony E-mount, according to Lens Rumors. The site says the next three lenses in the FiRIN series will be autofocus. The first lens – a 20mm ultrawide – is manual focus. The three lenses will be another ultrawide, a wide angle (both for 2017) and some kind of zoom (2018 release date).

Fujifilm reportedly has approved the development of an interchangeable-lens digital medium format camera, according to Fuji Rumors. The new camera was to be introduced “to the world” at Photokina 2016, but so far no mention has been made at the annual trade show.

Mirrorless Rumors is showing images (and specifications) of the upcoming Panasonic G80, which is expected to be unveiled soon, possibly at Photokina 2016. The new camera allegedly will have a 16.0-MP Live MOS sensor without a low-pass filter, variable anti-shake technology, a dust- and water-proof magnesium body, 4K video, an articulating 3.0-inch LCD and can shoot up to nine frames per second.

Fujifilm won’t announce X-T20 until 2017
