Name: Blackfoot, Idaho
Population: 11,800
History: Sitting near the Snake and Blackfoot rivers, Blackfoot was established in the early 1800s. Fur traders who worked that area called it Blackfoot, and the name stuck. Today, the area is known for potato production and is known as the "Potato Capital of the World." The Idaho Potato Museum is in Blackfoot, which also is home to the East Idaho State Fair.
