Hi all,

Two cameras, first Makina II with the tele, normal 100mm and the wide. No good photos with the Tele-Makinar and one from the two other lenses.

Anticomar 100mm

Guarding the marathon.

Orthat 73mm

Pier path.

Second camera, Tachihara 4x5, not happy how it turn out but it's done. Tessar 17,5cm f/7,2.

Half marathon Jun 19 #1.

Half marathon Jun 19 #2.

And on my way back I found the same fishermen father and son I took a photo last June, this made my day and here are the two photos I took with the Tachihara to them.
Kodak Medalist II, from the last year.

Fishermen father and son, Jun 2018.

Heliar 13,5cm f/3.5.

Fishermen father and son #1, May 2019.

Fishermen father and son #2, May 2019.

It never happened to me that the photo I'm looking for is even close to the photo I finally find.

Thank you for watching,
Alex

Wonderful pictures, and I especially like the portrait of your father.

I miss slides, too. I love finding my old ones -- they scan so well!

Thanks, James and Alex. Old time gas service stations are basically a thing of the past now, so it's interesting to see what they become in their second (third, forth, fifth...) lives. I've amassed quite a collection of images so far. I might make a Blurb book about them some day.

Alex, if you ever find yourself on Old US-11 between Lexington and Natural Bridge, VA, stop in for some good food, and or ice cream. Lots of Rock and Roll memorabilia on the walls, and plenty of music on the speakers, especially Elvis.

Like the Skipwith shots, Phil. Looks like gasoline options have narrowed down quite a bit there.

I thought that was allowed, Santiago, but it only says cameras on the Group Page https://www.flickr.com/groups/1060189@N22/ Larry might be able to give you a waiver.

Thank you, Julio and Phil.

Julio, I really appreciate your comparison to Superman rather than a "torero con capote"
Phil, the hook is a really good idea, but the one who invented it I'm sure he wwnted to take out the weight from his back and he found the best solution where to place it not taking dirt from the ground

I take it the new Ektachrome has not reached your part of the world yet. Not that I've seen much of it around here either. Some very fine photos there, Julio. I hope to get my scanner up and running soon, as I have quite a few slides to go through.

I'm more partial to the first architectural photo for the stronger lighting. 50/50 on the corrosion ones. Love the Tachihara one, especially the fact you use the tripod hook to hang some weight on it for sturdiness.

Oh, don't bother, Alex. Like a lot of cameras I want, it can wait until I have more room.

Alex, nice portraits! With that red cape around your neck you could be a Superman double!

I like #2 in the architecture test and #1 in the corrosion one. Both lenses seem pretty decent.

Hi all,

We had a long weekend due the Victory Day, sun was in and out and I backpacked two LF format cameras in a walk with the family.
First our portraits, 9x12 Bergheil with Heliar 15cm as usual.

Vera.

Nusik.

This next one done by Nusik and her phone, the best of all series no doubt!

Tachihara & Co.

And now two tests I have done with Symmar 210mm f/5.6 and Dagor 21cm f/9.
Would you please tell the ones that pleases you more? And which is sharper but that's not the most important.

First attempts of not falling buildings.

Test of architectural photo #1.

Test of architectural photo #2.

And the one I was shooting when Nusik took hers.

Corrosion #1.

Corrosion #2.

Both are same focal length so one is redundant.

Thank you for looking,
Alex

Testing my little film scanner, I opened old slide albums and checked a few. All of these were taken with Pentax K-1000, Ektachromes and Fujis. Normal lens 50/2 except the last one.

Storm coming in, Florianopolis, Brazil 1982

Sunset - experimenting with out of focus to get large images of the Sun. About 2004

Itaipu dam, Brazil 1982

My late father, a photo enthusiast and advanced amateur, 2004

Fisherman on his boat, taken with a 500mm mirror, 2005

I miss not having E-6 film anymore, but progress is progress. At least I can show these old images! Colors have stood quite well.

Please share some old slides if you have them around!
